Térénez bridge, between Presqu'Île de Crozon and Aulne maritime

and in the middle flows a river

Térénez bridge: the gateway to the Crozon peninsula

A link between territories

The Pont de Térénez and the surrounding area are brimming with history and activities of all kinds. Whether you're walking the GR34, sailing the Aulne or sampling the local produce, you'll be amazed by the diversity of the landscape. Before entering the Presqu'Île de Crozon, stop for a moment, there's so much to do.

3 bridges!

A true architectural feat

A world record

Historically, today's Térénez bridge is the third to span the Aulne, after those built in 1925 and 1952. Destroyed during the Second World War, then rebuilt with materials of lesser quality, the bridge you can use today was finally inaugurated in 2011.

Its technical sophistication and aesthetic appeal make it the world's first curved cable-stayed bridge. It was awarded the World Infrastructure Award in 2013, and received the International Concrete Federation's prize for the most beautiful structure in 2014.

On foot, by bike or by car, you can stop at the abutments of the old bridge, now converted into a belvedere. These spots are ideal for admiring the architectural feat that is the Térénez bridge.

Hiking, biking...

A passage

The most beautiful view of the Aulne

A hiking area par excellence, the Térénez bridge is one of the unmissable stages of the GR34. Continuing the trail, it allows you to cross from one bank of the Aulne to the other, while enjoying an impressive panorama.

Térénez from the sea

Ride the waves of the Aulne River

Kayak, sailboat, paddle...

Depart from the port of Térénez and enjoy a unique experience aboard the old sailing ship Loch Monna. Formerly used to dredge scallops, she now allows you to discover Brest harbor and the maritime Aulne on the water. Accompanied by Captain Yann, discover the marine flora and fauna and the history of fishing in Finistère. With friends or family, this sea trip is an experience that will appeal to young and old alike.

For a more adventurous outing on the water, Les Viviers de Térénez offers kayak hire for the day, enabling you to discover the secrets of the Aulne maritime.

During this adventure, you can admire the cemetery of the French Navy's boats as you sail alongside the island of Térénez. And to finish on a high note, pass under the Pont de Térénez for a breathtaking view.

Here you can see the bridge photographed from the belvedere.
